Hoe naief te denken dat de presidenten van de VS en de kandidaten geen oortje in hebben. Er staat te veel, politiek en financieel, op het spel. Ze zijn al jaren wired. Alleen Bush is zo'n stuntelaar dat hij tegen zijn oortje praat. Schokkend is dat ze er bij Indymedia VS van opkijken.

en als kerry het gemerkt zou hebben zou hij echt wel gebruikt hebben tegen

I also don’t buy into this rumor. First off, I highly doubt GW would be able to concentrate on what is going on in his earpiece and also what he is trying to say.
Secondly, I have taped the debate. I watched it on CSPAN and taped MSNBC to compare the programs. I found CSPAN showed the split screen from the very beginning and I wanted to see how the debate format was different from what most saw on MSNBC or other stations. When GW and John Kerry came onto the stage, they shook hands and JK put his left hand on GW’s back. At that time he would have noticed a bulge from the receiver. When GW and JK released hands, GW turned to his podium and you could see his back was smooth. I just reviewed the tape and did not see any bulge in the middle of his back. There is a clear view of his back (GW’s) right after JK finishes his reply to the first question. No bulge from a receiver is visable.

Remember the peculiar interjection "Now let me finish!" which Bush blurted out angrily during the debate in Miami? It attracted the attention of commentators and observers, because no one had interrupted him.
No one we could hear, that is.

tja..dan zegt niks hoor. Om alleen op basis daarvan te zeggen dat hij een mic heeft gaat wel erg ver.
Het kan ook een retorisch spreektruukje zijn.
Een oordopje had echt gewoon wel opgevallen...

Ja, maar het waren natuurlijk super-geheime high-tech nsa oordopjes. Die zijn zo groot als een speldeknop, met ingebouwde zender en ontvanger, dus die zie je niet.

Misschien is de beste man wel schizofreen? Misschien was het wel tegen het einde van het gesrek waardoor hij snel wilde stoppen omdat-ie ander teveel tijd had gebruikt. Hoe dan ook, er is geen bewijs geleverd. Conspiracy theory van niets.

he lijkt me een beetje raar, dat ze wel in staat zouden zijn om een ontvangertje zoooooo klein te maken dat hij onopvallend in je oor past, maar daartegen zo'n groot gevaarte op zijn rug plakken dat dan de zender/ontvanger zou moeten zijn. Beetje raar lijkt mij dat!!!!
Ik neem toch aan dat ze ook wel in staat zijn om een zender te maken die zo klein is dat hij niet opvalt. Ik heb zelf elektrotechniek gestudeerd en dat kan echt zal ik je zeggen. Je hoeft er echt niet uit te zien als een 'backpacker'!

In mijn zoektocht naar de "Bush-wired" story stoot ik net op een video van een ontmoeting van Bush - Chirac op Fox news. Door een technisch probleem wordt de volledige voorgezegde tekst door de zaal gejaagd alvorens Bush die uitspreekt. Al is dit niet het bewijs dat hij ook onlangs wired was, het versterkt toch het vermoeden..

It's quite hypocritical of the BBC, which I also have worked for, and it's difficult to understand, all this fuzz about Bush in the debate with Kerry being wired.
These earpieces* - and other devices for prompting, there even are implants - also the BBC already has used for many years.
And they get smaller all the time ! Anybody can use them.
For people with reading habits like Bush, and knowing the ramblings of this figure who says 'he never reads anything', at least nothing which gets any further than studying "My Pet Goat" for many long minutes when the 9/11 disaster hit, those systems are an immense help.
Karl Rove, the bad media-genius behind Bush c.s. arranged of course that many people would think Bush maybe really knew what he was talking about. That's Rove's dirty job !
And who says John Kerry didn't have one ?
