cops used violence, but not excessively

on saturday 28 october a free tekno party in helmond, near eindhoven was stopped by the police at 06.00 am. there was a sizeable number of police, who used crowd control tactics to storm the building. first they got inside, then they swept the building, then they dispersed the people outside, then the drivers were allowed to collect their vehicles.
i saw the riot police hitting people with truncheons and a few snatch arrests were made. the crowd was well behaved and i didn't see much excessive cop violence. they tended to hit people on the shoulders, not the head. there must have been 20-30 cop cars, vans and riot vans.
the party had about 500 punters, with four rooms of musik. the cars were parked inside the building and you couldn't hear much noise from outside. i heard no justification for the police action, but they had been aware of the party since 23.00 the night before.
at this stage im not sure if the rigs have been taken or not.

van dit artikel is de nieuwswaarde echt miniem..
ik bedoel een keer in de zoveel tijd wordt er wel eens een techno feest onderbroken door de politie...waarom dit op indymedia staat begrijp ik niet

Waarom dit op indymedia staat begrijp je niet? Ik find je punt heel bizarre.
Kijk boven ... Indymedia NL is een onafhankelijk lokaal en mondiaal vrij communicatie orgaan. Indymedia biedt een andere kijk op het nieuws door een open publicatie methode van tekst, beeld & geluid.
Dus it is niet alleen voor nieuws over Amsterdam kraakpanden en internationale activisten. Deze zijn interresant ook, maar ik bedoel indymedia is voor alles alternatief nieuws.
