Op dinsdag 26 augustus vindt in Amsterdam een info-avond over Libanon en Israel/Palestina plaats, georganiseerd door de Oost-sectie van XminY en mensen die het afgelopen jaar veel tijd in deze landen hebben doorgebracht.

On Tuesday August 26 there will be an info-night in Amsterdam about Lebanon and Israel/Palestine, organized by the East-section of XminY and people who have spent a lot of time in these countries the past year.

Er zijn foto's, films, muziek en een spreker van een Libanese anarchistische organisatie, voorzover wij weten de enige in de regio! Hij wordt ingeleid met een korte introductie over de geschiedenis en de complexe politieke en demografische situatie van het land. Ook zal iemand vertellen over de Israelisch/Palestijnse organisatie Anarchists against the Wall, die actie voert tegen de 'veiligheidsmuur' die Israel momenteel aan het bouwen is. Na afloop van elke spreker is er gelegenheid tot vragen stellen.
Dus: iedereen die zich voor deze regio interesseert en zin heeft in een informatieve en leuke avond, kom op 26 augustus om half acht naar de Plantage Doklaan in Amsterdam!

There will be pictures, films, music and a speaker from a Lebanese anarchist organization, as far as we know the only one in the region! He will be introduced by a short account of the history and the complex political and demographical situation in the country. Also, someone from the Israeli/Palestinian organization Anarchists against the Wall, that demonstrates against the 'safety wall' that Isreal is building, will speak about their actions of the past year. After every speaker there will be time to ask questions.
So anyone who is interested in this region and who feels like an informative and fun night: come on 26 August at seven thirty to the Plantage Doklaan in Amsterdam!

Sorry, ik vergat te zeggen dat de avond voor in ieder geval het grootste deel in het Engels gehouden wordt. Als dit een probleem is voor mensen zullen we hier iets op bedenken.
