Proces tegen 'Zeister 7' om kapot hek Kamp Zeist

Op maandag 20 juli aanstaande om 13.30 uur begint bij de politierechter in Utrecht het proces tegen zeven mensen die ervan worden beschuldigd op 16 april een slordige zevenentwintig meter uit het hek van Kamp Zeist te hebben geknipt.

De 'Zeister 7' werden in de vroege morgen van 16 april bij Kamp Zeist gearresteerd door smeris die in het bos verstopt lag. Ze werden ruim vijf dagen vastgehouden in het cellencomplex Houten. Eén van hen is onder voorwaarden vrij en is maandag verplicht te verschijnen. In het procesdossier zit een ambtsbericht van de AIVD: “Actievoerders tegen het asiel- en vreemdelingenbeleid zijn voornemens om in deze week 's nachts vernielingen aan te richten bij Kamp Zeist (..)”. Uit één van de processen verbaal blijkt bovendien dat de politie informatie had dat “er vannacht een bepaalde groepering bij Kamp Zeist het hek wilde gaan forceren”.

De verwachting is dat het OM met deze zaak hard wil uithalen naar activisten die de staat al jarenlang een doorn in het oog zijn: de zgn. 'asielextremisten'. Temeer daar op dit moment de Anarchistische Anti-deportatie Groep Utrecht (AAGU) al een tijdje bezig is met een campagne tegen de bouw van een permanente gezinsgevangenis op Kamp Zeist. Lawaaidemonstraties, een muurbezetting, en inmiddels aangekondigde acties tegen bedrijven die hun handen bereid zijn vuil te maken aan de bouw van deze gevangenis binnen de muur van Kamp Zeist, zijn nog maar de start van die campagne. Het hoeft geen verbazing te wekken dat telkens wanneer mensen zich bereid tonen tot directe actie om het zogenaamde 'vreemdelingenbeleid' te ondermijnen, dit beantwoord wordt met repressie. Het maakt de staat niet uit wie er door geraakt worden, het is de bedoeling om mensen af te schrikken. Duidelijk wordt hiermee dat de staat vormen van daadwerkelijk praktisch verzet in de kiem wil smoren. Nu zijn het de 'Zeister 7'. Wie zijn de volgenden?
In het dossier heeft de smeris een link gelegd tussen AAGU en de 'Zeister 7' en van AAGU de gehele website uitgeprint in het dossier gestopt. Daarnaast zijn de connecties tussen de arrestanten onderzocht in een poging de vorming van een 'criminele organisatie' te bewijzen, hetgeen in deze zaak overigens niet gelukt is. Maar het belooft allemaal weinig goeds. Reden te meer om massaal en ongrijpbaar in actie te komen. Het apartheidsbeleid van de EU dat asielbeleid heet, maakt dagelijks vele slachtoffers en stoelt op kapitalistische uitbuiting, racisme en nationalisme. Kom in verzet! Vuur en vlammen voor de deportatiemachine!

De repressie tegen activisten ligt in het verlengde van de repressie tegen vluchtelingen, maar de vrees voor vervolging van activisten mag nooit zwaarder wegen dan het lot van vele duizenden vluchtelingen aan de grenzen, in de detentiecentra en op straat. Vrijheid is pas vrijheid als iedereen vrij is!
De jacht op vluchtelingen uit zich de laatste tijd in regelmatige razzia's in huizen en op werkplekken. Tijdens de muurbezetting door AAGU op 22 november vorig jaar spraken de bezetters een jong meisje dat met haar familie in de gezinsgevangenis zat. Ze vertelde dat zij en haar gezin op een ochtend om 6 uur van hun bed waren gelicht. In berichtgeving over razzia's wordt gedaan alsof het de gewoonste zaak van de wereld is dat de politie met een mensenjacht bezig is om ongedocumenteerden op te pakken, zoals afgelopen weken gebeurde in Den Haag, Amsterdam en Rotterdam. Zo mogen ze bij een vermoeden van 'illegaliteit' in elk huis binnenvallen. Daarvoor hebben ze ruime bevoegdheden: invallen en huiszoekingen zonder rechterlijk bevel, het inbeslagnemen en uitlezen van telefoons, en onderzoek aan het lichaam van de arrestanten. Dat alles om hun identiteit te achterhalen zodat tot deportatie kan worden overgegaan. Het sluitstuk van de jacht zijn de detentiecentra. Grensgevangenissen zoals Kamp Zeist.

De staat vervolgt nu mensen die worden beschuldigd van het weghalen van een deel van één van de hekken van Fort Europa terwijl diezelfde staat zelf dagelijks vele mensenlevens vernietigt Alleen al in de eerste helft van 2015 verdronken ruim 2000 mensen in de Middellandse Zee. Geen middel wordt onbenut gelaten om deze misdaden ongehinderd te kunnen blijven plegen.
Support daarom de 'Zeister 7' op maandag 20 juli tijdens het proces. De rechtbank zit aan Vrouwe Justitiaplein 1, op tien minuten loopafstand van het centraal station. Aanvang: 13.30 uur. Zorg dat je er om 13:00 uur bent, want je moet door een poortje.

On Monday July 20th at 13:30 hrs, the trial against seven people accused of cutting away about twenty seven meters of fence at Kamp Zeist starts at the court of Utrecht.

The 'Zeister 7' were arrested by cops who lay hidden in the woods in the early morning of April 16 at Kamp Zeist. They were held in custody over five days in the cell complex of Houten. One of them is conditionally free and is required to appear Monday. The case file contains a report from the AIVD (Dutch Intelligence and Security Agency): "Campaigners against the asylum and immigration policy intend to cause overnight vandalism during this week at Kamp Zeist (..)". In one of the official police reports it says that the police had information that "a certain group intends to force the fence of Kamp Zeist tonight."

The expectation is that the Publice Prosecution will play hard for activists that are a thorn in the eyes of the state,: the so-called 'asylum extremists'. Especially since at the moment the Anarchist Anti-deportation Group Utrecht (AAGU) has been running a campaign for some time now against the construction of a permanent family prison at Kamp Zeist. Noise demo's, a wall occupation, and meanwhile announced actions against companies that are willing to get their hands dirty in the construction of this prison within the walls of Kamp Zeist, are only the start of that campaign. It is not surprising that whenever people show their willingness to take direct action to subvert the so-called "immigration policy", this is met with repression. The state does not care who is affected by it, it is meant to scare people off. It is clear that the state wants to nip actually practical forms of resistance in the bud. Now it's the 'Zeister 7. Who is next?
In the case file the police links AAGU and 'Zeister 7' and printed the entire website of AAGU and put that in the file. In addition, the connections between the accused were examined in an attempt to prove the formation of a 'criminal organization', which did not succeed in this case. But it does not augur well. All the more reason to act massively and elusory. The EU apartheid policy called asylum policy makes many victimseveryday and is based on capitalist exploitation, racism and nationalism. Resist! Fire and flames for the deportation machine!

The repression against activists is a continuation of the repression against refugees, but the fear of persecution of activists should never outweigh the fate of many thousands of refugees at the border, in detention centers and on the street. Freedom is only freedom if everybody is free!
The recent hunt for refugees is apparent n regular raids in homes and workplaces. During the wall occupation by AAGU on November 22nd last year, the occupants spoke with a young girl sitting with her family in the prison. She said that she and her family were lifted from their bed one early morning at 6 am. In news coverage of raids they are presented as if it's the most common thing in the world that the police is out on a manhunt to arrest undocumented people, as happened last week in Den Haag, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. They are allowed to invade every home on suspicion of 'illegality'. For this they have wide powers: raids and searches without court order, the seizure and reading of telephones, and examination of the body of the detainees. All that to find out their identity so they can be deported. The capstone of the hunt are the detention centers. Border prison such as Kamp Zeist.

The state is now suing people accused of removing part of one of the gates of Fortress Europe while the same state itself destroys many lives on a daily basis. In the first half of 2015 alone more than 2000 people drowned in the Mediterranean. No means are left unused in order to continue committing these crimes unhindered.
Support therefore the 'Zeister 7' on Monday, July 20th during the trial. The court house is at at Vrouwe Justitiaplein 1, a ten minute walk from train station Utrecht Central. Start: 13.30. Make sure you're there at 13:00, because you need to go through a security gate.
