Op zondag 1 november organiseert de Anti-Fascistische Actie (AFA) een landelijke demonstratie onder het motto ‘Refugees Welcome! Stop de rechtse hetze!’ om 15:00 in Den Haag. Uit Amsterdam zal er een bus naar de demonstratie gaan.

Ga vanuit Amsterdam mee naar de ‘Refugees Welcome’ demonstratie in Den Haag op zondag 1 november en geef je op voor de bus. Autonoom Centrum de Vrankrijk betaalt een gedeelte van de bus, dus kost het maar 6 euro per persoon om mee te gaan! Als je meer geld hebt is dat zeer welkom omdat er ook een bus gaat met de vluchtelingen van We Are Here, en deze bus kost ook geld. Je kan je opgeven door een e-mail te sturen naar busaanmelding@gmx.com. Vermeld daarin je naam en telefoonnummer. Informatie over de tijden en opstapplaats krijg je via de e-mail toegestuurd.

*Refugees Welcome! Stop de rechtse hetze!*
Migratie is van alle tijden. Ook nu zijn er mensen op de vlucht voor oorlog, armoede en politieke onderdrukking. Deze omstandigheden worden voor een groot deel veroorzaakt door de buitenlandse politiek van Westerse landen. Maar in plaats van dat vluchtelingen in Nederland welkom worden geheten, word er een rechtse hetze tegen hen gevoerd. Aangewakkerd door rechtse politieke partijen worden er onder andere asielzoekerscentra en toekomstige opvangplekken voor vluchtelingen beklad met racistische teksten en symbolen. Ook vinden er op meerdere plekken in het land demonstraties tegen vluchtelingen plaats.

Wij vinden dat we solidair moeten zijn met vluchtelingen en dat er een einde moet komen aan de rechtse hetze die gebaseerd is op angst en leugens. Zo word er o.a. gesteld dat vluchtelingen sociale woningen innemen terwijl het juist de rechtse politici zijn die ervoor zorgen dat er geen sociale woning meer worden gebouwd. In tijden van toenemend racisme is het belangrijk een sterke antiracistische beweging te bouwen.
Daarom roepen wij op tot een brede demonstratie om onze solidariteit met vluchtelingen te uiten en een vuist te maken tegen racisme en uitsluiting. Kom dus allemaal op 1 november naar Den Haag om 15:00 uur voor het Centraal Station en demonstreer mee!

Bus from Amsterdam to: “Refugees Welcome” demonstration in The Hague

On Sunday November 1st the Anti-Fascist Action is organising a nationwide demonstration under the motto “Refugees Welcome! Stop the right-wing witch hunt!” at 15:00 in The Hague. A bus will travel from Amsterdam to the demonstration.

Let’s travel together from Amsterdam to the “Refugees Welcome” demonstration in The Hague on November 1st and reserve a place in the bus. Autonomous Centre Vrankrijk is paying a part of the costs, bringing down the cost of a ticket to 6 euros. More than 6 euros is also welcome as there is another bus going with refugees from the “We Are Here” action group. This bus also has costs tied to it. You can reserve a place in the bus by sending an e-mail to busaanmelding@gmx.com with your name and phone number. You will then get the information about the time and location sent by e-mail.

Migration has always taken place. People are still fleeing from war, poverty, and political repression. The foreign policy of Western nations is largely responsible for these conditions. But instead of refugees being welcomed to the Netherlands, a right-wing witch-hunt is being carried out against them. Fueled by right-wing political parties, asylum seekers centers and future shelters for refugees get vandalized with racist words and symbols. Several locations in the Netherlands have been witness to demonstrations against refugees.

We believe that we should be in solidarity with refugees and that the smear campaign based on fear and lies from the right must stop. For example, it is often said that refugees take up social housing while the right-wing politicians are in fact making sure that public housing is no longer built. In times of increasing racism, it is important to build a strong anti-racist movement.

This is why we are calling for a large demonstration to express our solidarity with refugees and to make a fist against racism and discrimination. Come November 1 to The Hague at 15:00 in front of Central Station and demonstrate with us!
