Razzia, Kamp Zeist, deportation: M. (15 jr) tells her story

Early in the morning of December 2014, at the time 15 years old, M. was lifted from her bed along with her parents and sister in family location Katwijk by the immigration police. The whole family was transferred to Kamp Zeist, to be deported from there to Armenia five days later. Occasionaly, M. has contact via facebook with her friends who are still in the Netherlands, and tells what happened.

"We were picked up very early from the center in Katwijk. It was seven o'clock in the morning. When they [the police] came in, they said they had consent to take us with them, we were very shocked.

They also said we had only ten minutes to get the necessary stuff, and then my mother fell in stress. Suddenly I heard my father had cut his hand in the bathroom I started screaming, my mother was crying very loud and my sister started screaming very loud. After a while the ambulance came, and they put a bandage on his hand. Then we were taken by the police to the police station.

As we were taken out of the building, all my girlfriends were standing in front of the building. I saw them all crying and I could not even say goodbye to them in a normal way.

We were at the police station from half past seven until three in the afternoon. Then we were taken to Zeist. There, we were taken to a room and they checked all our stuff. Then we were taken to another room, where they have taken away our stuff and then we were moved to a small house where we stayed for five days. But my father was not with us, he was in a different place with the police where they had him under control the whole time.

After five days, they said we would be picked up that night at three o'clock to go to the airport. At half past four they came and took us. We were taken somewhere by car and from there we were taken to the airport with another car. At the airport we were taken to a room where they were checking us and then we had to wait. After a while twelve policemen, two people of the DT & V [Repatriation and Departure Service] and a doctor came and to come along with us. When they were all there, we were taken to the airport with a car.

We went to France, where we have waited four hours until the plane came to Armenia. Then we flew nine hours to Armenia. At the airport in Armenia there were people from the madhouse *, they wanted to take my father. He did not want to, but he went along.

After a while he's got out of there [the madhouse], then they were after him again. Now we do not know where he is. My mother, my little sister and I live in an apartment in Armenia. That was my story."

Soon the campaign 'No child to the side!" will launch. To read more about family locations, raids, Kamp Zeist and deportations, you can already take a look at https://geenkindaandekant.wordpress.com.

*) In Armenia involuntary admittance in closed psychiatric institutions is being used regularly in order to silence political opponents.
