De FLA groep wordt geleid door Big Mother (Susanne Sachse), die een school voor eigenzinnige meiden op het platteland als front voor een radicale terroristische cel, oftewel een leger van geliefdes. De plotselinge aanwezigheid van een radicale linkse man op de vlucht, zorgt voor chaos in het huishouden, terwijl de groep zich voorwaarts marcheert met de onthulling van een nieuwe stijl lesbische porno, te gebruiken als propaganda en visitekaartje voor hun nieuwe stijl van vrouwelijke revolutie.

Using strawberries and AK47s dipped in estrogen, Bruce LaBruce and the Female Liberation Army go to war "somewhere in Ger(wo)many", filled with radical passion and humour. Being both a critique and an affectionate tribute, The Misandrists follows a secret cell of feminist terrorists that is planning to liberate women, overthrow the patriarchy, and usher in a new female world order.
The FLA group is led by Big Mother (Susanne Sachsse), who operates a school for wayward girls in the countryside as a front for a radical terroristic cell, otherwise referred to as the army of lovers. The sudden presence of a radical male leftist on the run eventually disrupts the household, as the film moves towards its climax: the revelation of a new style of lesbian porn that is to be used as both propaganda tool and calling card for their new brand of female revolution.
