Activists sabotage at the Lutkemeerpolder to stop destruction of fertile land!

The destruction of one of the last fertile lands of Amsterdam, the Lutkemeerpolder, has continued throughout the last weeks. In response to this, last night Groen Front Elves took action to sabotage the means of destruction by GEM&BV at the behest of the Gemeente Amsterdam.
The Lutkemeerpolder is a beautiful piece of land located in the West of Amsterdam. However, the land is currently being destroyed to build distribution centres.
Right now, the building company GEM&BV is digging trenches to prepare the land for building a road through the land. Since Albert Heijn has abandoned their plans to help destroy the Lutkemeerpolder (thanks to all the comrades who have taken action against Albert Heijn... ), this is the perfect moment to abandon all plans of destruction and to realize the Voedselpark Amsterdam (formerly Biopolder - http://behoudlutkemeer.nl/biopolder/), a plan developed by the group Behoud Lutkemeer which lays out how to turn the Lutkemeerpolder into a space for local sustainable agriculture, community building and education. This is a realistic way to localize food systems contrary to the greenwashing campaigns of the Gemeente disguised as donut economy.

Throughout the past weeks, different autonomous groups of activists have taken action in order to stop this destruction. Although these actions have been able to slow down these works, they have not yet ceased completely. Therefore, we have chosen more drastic methods to stop these works and the destruction of the last fertile land in Amsterdam.

We demand the Gemeente Amsterdam to stop all destructions at the Lutkemeerpolder immediately!

Escalation will continue if the destruction does not stop!
