In an act of civil disobedience outside the headquarters of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague, more than fifty members of the Kurdish youth movement were taken into custody. Some of them still remain imprisoned in The Hague.

As activists in Dresden, we stand in solidarity with these prisoners and demand their immediate release! Civil disobedience is a legitimate means the deafening silence of the world community regarding Turkish war crimes in Southern Kurdistan.
Since April, the Turkish regime is attacking the regions of Avaşîn, Zap and Metîna. The guerrilla and civilians are under attack with proscribed weapons such as poison gas. The OPCW, the European Union and Germany remain silent. The "good relations" with the war criminals and their dictator are just too important.

We support the demands of the youth movement as formulated by a friend in The Hague:
"We demand that the OPCW, the United Nations and the International Red Cross put the use of banned weapons in Kurdistan on their agenda. An independent investigation of Turkey's use of chemical weapons in Metîna, Zap and Avaşîn must be conducted and the Erdogan government must be sanctioned. The Kurdistan National Congress (Kongreya Neteweyî ya Kurdistanê, KNK) is in possession of samples from the affected region. We are urging the institutions addressed today to examine these samples and share their results with the public."

Freedom for all prisoners!
Ostracize the Turkish regime and its war crimes!
All occupying forces out of Kurdistan!
