Presentation of the P2P
fightsharing project
Screening of the dvd-magazine
'MayDay04'
A production of CandidaTV and
Greenpeppermagazine

P2Pfightsharing is a network that
experiments on communication
and its relation to labour, on
independent and grassroots
media, on language and
marketing and on the production
and circulation of knowledge.

The reader and the dvd-magazine
produced for the Mayday04 are
the result of a series of meetings
and projects started during the
World Summit on Information
Society in december03.
'MayDay04' is the second number
of the dvd-magazine 'P2P
fightsharing': a collective
video-narration of grassroots
movements and innovative
practices of social and political
communication. P2P Fightsharing
confronts the crucial
transformations occurring in life
and work within the contemporary
information economy opening new
grounds for conflicts in
communication, media and the
production of social imaginary. The
dvd-zine is a toolbox, a tool of
mediactivism to connect, research
and interlink struggle, practices
and forms of actions of socially
precarious workers, atypical
workers, migrants and so on.

The MayDay in Europe brought
hundreds of precarious workers in
the streets to reclaim social rights
and better working conditions.
Precarity is a difficult condition to
narrate, because it presumes
isolation and exploitation by the
company, braking the cage of
isolation is the first needed step to
create conditions for the temporary
workers to have certain social
rights. That's why communication
has a crucial importance in the
mobilisation of precarious workers.
And that's how it was born the
dvd-magazine mayday04
produced by CandidaTV and a
network of media activists; a
collective dvd-magazine that tells
about successful struggle and
make you think about new ones.
The dvd

MayDay04 brings together videos
of: Chainworkers, Infoworkers,
guerrigliamarketing.it, Intermittent
workers of spectacle, MacStrikers,
Yomango, squatted factories in
Argentina, telecomworker's strikers
in Korea...
