Live verslaggeving WEF/WSF

Op 26 januari is het Wereld Economisch Forum in Davos begonnen. Naast het WEF vind natuurlijk ook weer het Wereld Sociaal Forum, de tegenhanger van de andersglobaliseringsbeweging, plaats! Ditmaal weer terug in Porto Alegre. Radio ZwartRoodActief doet de komende dagen verslag van beide toppen, aangezien ook op het WEF tegenacties plaatsvinden.

De komende dagen kun je terecht op radio ZwartRoodActief voor live-verslaggeving. We zullen regelmatig switchen tussen Brazilië en Zwitserland, en de voertaal zal voornamelijk Nederlands of Engels zijn (met af-en-toe wat Duits).

Forum de Radios, is a space of radios which participate in the World Social Forum (WSM). It aims to be a converging point for the actors involved in the WSF process, who are there to produce radio transmissions that will promote and enhance the already existing information.
The information produced by Forum de Radios will be aired from Porto Alegre during the WSF and on line for the rest of the world, before, during, and after the 5th WSF’s main event. This is the main idea of the initiative: to reconstruct the ability to gather and disseminate radio productions regarding the WSF process.
FR is currently a component of the WSF’s website, where it is possible to find the official newsletters in audio format, in addition to a file containing radio programs produced in previous forums. At this stage, the goal is to include the greatest number of programs possible. This will largely depend on the participation and integration of other productions from other places.
At first, FR will work in four languages (English, Portuguese, French and Spanish) although the goal is to include as many languages as possible.
The idea is that FR becomes a project that incorporates community radios, networks and other actors, thus creating a cooperation for free information in an audio format.
