8 december 2007, Beursplein Amsterdam: prochoice demo against "march for life"
During the annual demonstration against abortionright of the anichoice clique "schreeuw om leven", (cry for life), we, womensrightsactivists, will be present with flyers and banners pro safe abortionright. When the issue is: a recognised womens right we must not leave the street to antichoice fundamentalists who prefer human rights for an embryo to selfdetermination of the woman.
So: Pro choice will be clearly present with statements pro selfdetermination of women in how we want to deal with the fact that we are fertile.
Antichoice critises the dutch abortionlaw because they want to ban abortion. We know that the right to selfdetermination has to be improved: also in the netherlands.
In 2008 women in this country will still find it difficult to pay our contraceptives, since its part of basis helath care insurance BUT we have to pay the first 150 euros out of our own pocket!! This is also the case with abortion!
So: we will demonstrate for contraceptives that are actually payed for by health insurance, and for free and safe abortion for every woman who needs it.
Do come and bring your own banner or sign with these pro choice demands.
We will not agree with a government that gives in to mala fide arguments of antichoice that strives for more and more restrictions of our rights.

Antichoice plans to walk after their manifestation on beursplein to Noorderkerk where they will have their antichoice sermoun.

8-12-2007:13.00uur:Beursplein Amsterdam:Prochoice Tegendemo bij Mars voor het Leven, in Amsterdam.
Tijdens de jaarlijkse demonstratie tegen recht op abortus van de antichoice kliek van “de schreeuw om leven” zullen wij, vrouwenrechtenactivisten aanwezig zijn met spandoeken en flyers VOOR recht op veilige abortus!
Als het over een erkend vrouwenrecht als recht op veilige abortus gaat moeten we de straat niet overlaten aan antichoice fundamentalisten die liever mensenrechten voor een embryo willen dan recht op zelfbeschikking voor de vrouw.
Wij, Pro Choice, zullen duidelijk aanwezig zijn met statements voor zelfbeschikking van de vrouw over hoe zij met het feit dat ze vruchtbaar is om wenst te gaan.
Antichoice activisten bekritiseren de abortuswet in Nederland omdat ze een verbod op abortus willen.
Wij, Prochoice, vinden juist dat zelfbeschikking van de vrouw nog veel beter geregeld moet worden in Nederland.
In 2008 zullen nog steeds veel vrouwen moeite hebben hun anticonceptie te betalen, nu het feit dat het in het basispakket zit overschaduwd wordt door het feit dat we de eerste 150 euro van de basiszorg zelf moeten betalen!
Wij zullen dus ter plekke de straat op gaan om te demonstreren voor werkelijk betaalbare anticonceptie, en recht op gratis en veilige abortus voor iedere vrouw. Kom ook met je eigen duidelijk zichtbare spandoek of leuze voor zelfbeschikkingsrecht van vrouwen!
We laten de agenda niet bepalen door een regering die zwicht voor de malafide argumenten van antichoice die steeds verdergaande beperkingen van ons recht nastreeft.
Heb je ideeen over de invulling van dit Pro choice protest? Neem dan contact op met anti-sgp@gmx.net. Doe dat ook als je een rondje posters wilt plakken en die toegestuurd wilt krijgen.
De antichoice fundies zullen na hun demo op het beursplein om 14 uur door de stad lopen. Zij vertrekken dan vanaf het beursplein richting de Noorderkerk.
Op het moment van deze oproep is nog niet duidelijk of wij dat ook zullen doen. Maar we houden jullie op de hoogte!

there is a mistake in the text above.
cause there is a difference in holland in 2008 between abortion and anticonception for insurance.
anticonception: first 150 we have to pay ourselves. but abortion will remain in awbz, so with a health insurance the health insurance will pay for it.

Zijn er al plannen? Komt er een tegendemonstratie (legaal?), andere (ludieke) actievormen?

waarom mail je niet even met ons?
uit bovenstaande tekst is duidelijk dat wij Prochoice, aanwezig zullen zijn op het beursplein. hoe dit vorm krijgt is (zoals je ook in de tekst kunt zien) afhankelijk van het aantal mensen die mee gaan organiseren. dus: wil je mee organiseren c.q. meer weten: mail even.
