Deze vrijdag (27-06) houdt Ojalá, Autonome Jongerenorganisatie voor Latijns-Amerika, een benefiet feestje in Zaal 100.

Deze vrijdag houdt Ojala, de Autonome Jongerenorganisatie voor Latijns-Amerika, een benefiet feestje in Zaal 100.
Tot in de vroege uurtjes verzorgt DJ Rodrigo (Que Pasa, 2002-2004) vrolijke Latijns Amerikaanse ritmo’s en zorgt Son 5 voor live Cubaanse, Mexicaanse, Colombiaanse én Argentijnse muziek. Daarnaast zijn er spicy Latijns Amerikaanse hapjes en een swinging southern cocktails van onze eigen cocktailbar
Voorafgaand aan het feest is er ook een kort info-gedeelte. Ojalá was betrokken bij Enlazando Alternativas III: de alternatieve top die begin mei dit jaar in Lima en waarbij sociale bewegingen, activisten groepen en solidariteitsorganisaties bij elkaar kwamen om plannen te smeden tegen de vrijhandelsverdragen die worden onderhandeld tussen Europa en Latijns-Amerika. Met filmpjes, radio fragmenten en foto’s laten we zien wat daar gebeurd en bedacht is om de relatie tussen Latijns Amerika en Europa meer vorm te geven op basis van solidariteit in plaat van op vrije markt denken.
En daarna natuurlijk fiesta!

Coming Friday, 27-06, Ojala has it’s benefit party at Zaal 100. Untill the early morning DJ Rodrigo (Que Pasa, 2002-2004) will play it’s funky Latin-American beats and the band Son 5 will take us on a journy through Cuba, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina. Of course there will be lot’s of spicy Latin-American bites and sunny southern cocktails of our own cocktail bar.
Before the party there is a short info event. Ojala was involved in the counter summit Enlanzando Alternativas III, which was held this may in Lima. Peru. On this counter summit social movements, activist groups and solidarity organisations organised their resistance against the free trade agreements between Europe and Latin-America. With radio recordings, material from video collectives and foto’s we will show what happened to build a relationship between Europe and latin America based on solidarity priciples in stead of neo-liberal thinking.

El proximo viernes, el 27 de junio, Ojala organisa otra vez su Gran Fiesta Latina en el Zaal 100 en Amsterdam!
Hasta la madrugada DJ Rodrigo (Qué Pasa, 2002-2004) pone la música alegre de América Latina. La banda Son 5 y otros grupos nos van a entretener con sonidos Cubanos, Mexicanos, Colombianos e Argentinos. Además habrán riquísimos bocados e copas de nuestro propio bar de cócteles.
Anteriormente a la fiesta habrá un evento breve de información. Ojalá estaba involucrado con ‘Enlazando Alternativas 3’: una cumbre alternativa que se celebró en Lima para los latinoamericanos e europeos que quieran mejorar el mundo. Durante el evento mostraremos películas cortas, fragmentos de radio y fotografías para mostrarles cómo se desarrolló la cumbre. Y despues, claro: la fiesta!
