Solidarity with Hunger Strike
nn - 20.12.2009 23:27

Call out from Gabriel Pombo Da Silva for a Hunger Strike, from dec.20th to jan. 1st.

Gabril Pombo Da Silva- regarding the year end huger strike
I am intrigued by the idea to coordinate and take part in a hunger strike in December, together with other comrades… If other comrades are interested, I would like to suggest a hunger strike from the 20th of December to the 1st of January… This can be considered a “reasonable” amount of time (for me a hunger strike is a strategic tool of struggle… What I mean by this is that given the situation of our kidnapping by the State and Capital, we are left with only this form of struggle, since comrades are separated in different prisons and States)… and what I mean by “reasonable” is that this action is intended more as a demonstration of love and resistance, rather than as a sacrifice…

The increasing number of imprisoned (and “free”) comrades, along with the “boycott” and censorship of my correspondence, are preventing me from writing to all rebellious and akin individuals spread out in the world.
However, I will never give them the satisfaction to see me “whimpering” or “whining” over these conditions and this conditioning … If I write something, it is a text to) invite and incite the joy of rebellion, and not to complain about the consequences of our actions and thoughts.

The arrest of Alfredo Bonanno and Christos Stratigopoulos in Greece is the consequence of living your ideas … I can only imagine how “inconvenient” it must be for the greek State to be holding in their prisons two comrades of such stature.
Regarding the comrades that are “grouped” in Alessandria (Italy)… it seems to be a tactic against association that could lead to “conversion”… they have figured out that our ideas are very attractive to social rebels… Anyways, there are worse forms of isolation… such as in Germany, where they put you away with snitches and rapists…
Well… it would be important to find out who we can count on during this hunger strike… and that the comrades who want to join can prepare a communiqué to release before the hunger strike...
About the content of each communiqué, I would be in favour of mentioning the death in battle of Mauricio Morales… I will write something about this, as well as raising awareness of the political asylum of Freddy y Marcelo in Argentina… Without ever forgetting our dear Marco.

I will see what I can do about (communicating with) the prisoners locked up by the spanish State, not that I expect anything from there… Mostly given that my correspondence is always confiscated by the jailers.

Un forte abbraccio anarchico
Gabriel

Big anarchist greetings, Gabriel, Aachen October, 2009

In solidarity with the year end hunger strike
Solidarity is a weapon, best used when it becomes gasoline to throw on those fires of revolt that their repression wants extinguished. Sergio

I think it is clear that our oppressors are not afraid of our diy explosives (on this point they are far ahead of us) but of the ideas that drive us to break through the status quo, of the love that moves us to overcome anything in our way and makes us bold and reckless.
Gabriel Pombo Da Silva

Following the call out of Gabriel Pombo Da Silva for the hunger strike, from December 20th to the 1st of January, to include any revolutionary prisoner spread throughout the world, we have received the confirmation of the participation of Marco Camenisch (in Switzerland), Juan Carlos, Francisco, Honorio, Alberto (in Spain), Diego (Argentina), and Sergio, Mike and Evelyn (in Italy).

We find it important to point out that this call-out is coming directly from imprisoned comrades. While each of these revolutionaries may come from a different context, affinities and points of reference, this hunger strike is meant to be a tactic of struggle in contribution to social war. Many have mentioned in their communiques their desire to commemorate the deceased comrades Marcelo (died in May 2009, while placing an explosive outside the chilean penitentiary police academy) and Zoe (died in May 2009 while preparing an explosive device). This is not for the purpose of wallowing in grief, but to extend direct action, by all means necessary. It is also the occasion to strengthen the ties of support and solidarity among social rebels who have been kidnapped by the state in their fight against the institutions of government and capital.

This is also an invitation for all those on the outside who want to show their solidarity, to take action. In the struggle against all forms of authority and repression, it is important to clearly show that our imprisoned comrades will not be silenced nor forgotten and their struggle is not isolated We want to take this occasion to reinforce the communication and active solidarity between the “inside” and “outside”. Everyone can decide, within their own context and creativity, how to express their struggle for total liberation and their show of solidarity towards social rebels on the other side of the walls.

The organization for this hunger strike is completely decentralized. There is no main campaign nor central mobilization.
For continuous updates and communiques (mostly in Spanish and Italian) check out culmine.noblogs.org, while for more summerized versions and translations check out updates either on indymedia.nl or olieophetvuur.noblogs.org. (in English).

Destroy all Prisons, and the world that creates them.
Till we are all free!!!
