19/05-12/06/17 : Stand Up With Standing Rock is a european solidarity tour with water defenders of Standing Rock fighting against the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). Rachel Heaton, Nataanii Means, Wašté Win Young and Rafael Gonzales, activists of the Standing Rock movement, will carry the voices of the water protectors to various parts of Europe : Paris, Brussels, the Netherlands, Bonn, Geneva, Bologna, Barcelona, Bilbao and Madrid. 3,000 Germans soldiers are now deployed in lands from Syria, Afghanistan, and other countries. The defense budget for German this year rose to 34,3 Billion Euro and the minister of defense is asking for more money. Meanwhile politicians have lost all motivation to complete the economic and political goals with the army. They lack a mandate from the United Nations about how long to occupy Syria. In de eerste maanden van dit jaar kwamen ruim 1000 vluchtelingen om op de Middellandse Zee. Vorig jaar stierven ruim 5000 personen op dezelfde route, een triest record. Dit is een rechtstreeks gevolg van het beleid van de Europese Unie: Fort Europa met zijn hekken, patrouilles, schepen, vliegtuigen en militairen. Het Europese grensbewakingsagentschap Frontex speelt hierbij een leidende rol. | ||
