info evening- about prisoner struggles,state repression and the rise of neofascism in Italy today.
1. Talk about the present socio-political atmosphere in Italy is one of an intensified security culture and right wing orchestrated. This has partly lead to the emerging of neo fascist groups that are still being violently threatening, but also more infiltrating into popular sympathy through such projects as "Casa Pound"(a house and a political model of right wing social centres). 2.Info and discussion about the revolts that have been shaking the italian prison walls, specifically in the past year. Also an analysis on the relationship and communication between the "inside" and "outside". The organization and solidarity that has worked, and that which hasn't, during this ongoing struggle.
Both talks will last around 30 to 40 minutes and there will be a break in between.
The first announced date of this info evening was supposed to be Sept. 5th 2009, as published on the Blacklist. It has now been moved to the 17th of September, when, after the info and some discussion there will be benefit voku and concert at Centuurban 215.
