Gaddafi residence building destroyed' Sun Mar 20, 2011 8:55PM Libyan army fire anti-aircraft missiles during air strikes by coalition forces in Tripoli March 20, 2011. A report says that an airstrike has destroyed an administrative building of Libyan ruler Muammer Gaddafi's residence in Tripoli, as attacks by the foreign military alliance continue. The attacks took place on Sunday night in the south of the capital, Tripoli around Gaddafi's residence in the Bab al-Azizia, AFP reported. The attacks on Libya started after the US, European and Arab leaders backed military action against the country following an emergency meeting in Paris on Saturday. Airstrikes on Libya continued on Sunday. A loud blast has reportedly been heard in Tripoli amid anti-aircraft barrage. The United States and Britain have said the aerial attacks have been "successful" and the no-fly zone is now "in place." This is while experts say the main motive behind the Western allies' attack is the vast oil reserves in the North African country. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Sunday dominant powers occupy other countries to gain their interests under the pretext of supporting people. With the Western allies pounding targets in Libya from the air, clashes continue on the ground between Gaddafi troops and revolutionary forces. More than 94 people were reportedly killed by Gaddafi loyalists in the opposition-held city of Benghazi on Sunday, even now that the Libyan government halted air attacks, medics said. Gaddafi troops have reportedly entered the center of Misratah with tanks. Several people have been killed in the clashes. They are said to have been shot by snipers

Do we really have to listen to Iranian state media, by way of an "alternative" news source?

more interesting

It gets more interesting even, in that not even the Press TV item quoted mentions a "Gaddafi residence building destroyed," nor is there any mention of a "son killed."

All they do mention (as quoted) is the destruction of "an administrative building of Libyan ruler Muammer Gaddafi's residence in Tripoli." The rest appears to be blogger Gar's (fanciful?) additions. One does often wonder where the blog is headed at all.
