Did spy Kraaijer try to destroy Party for Animals?

Did Kraaijer try to destroy the Dutch opposition party Party for Animals?

Lately, there is much publicity in the Netherlands about Paul Kraaijer; who posed as an anti-fascist, environmentalist and journalist; while in fact being a Dutch political secret police agent provocateur.

He now lives in Suriname. His Surinamese employers, after finding out at last about his spying, immediately dismissed him.

Kraaijer commented at Dear Kitty. Some blog; here. His own blog, which he refered to in that comment, is gone.

Kraaijer used to have another blog "Animals in the news" (also gone now). Last year, in that blog, he tried to exacerbate a conflict between the two members of parliament of the Dutch Party for Animals (Partij voor de Dieren, PvdD), Ms Esther Ouwehand and Ms Marianne Thieme. Kraaijer stridently took Ouwehand's side. The conflict was solvable and the two MP's did manage to solve it. Nevertheless, bad publicity did cause a loss of PvdD votes during the last parliamentary election.

Was Kraaijer trying to destroy the PvdD opposition party on behalf of his political secret police bosses in order to make things smoother for the present Rightist coalition, which relies on parliamentary support of Wilders' far right xenophobic authoritarian party?

cached versions of blog
nn - 08.06.2011 13:27

You can still access cached versions of Kraaijers blog: google search for the article you mean, and click 'cached' under the search results. I can't find the exact post you mean though, none from Kraaijer giving his own opinion, just a lot of re-posts of Telegraaf articles on the conflict between Thieme and Ouwehand, like this one:  http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:zezANbYtf0IJ:animals-in-the-news.blogspot.com/2010/04/past-marianne-thieme-drijfjacht-toe-op.html+%22Animals+in+the+news%22+kraaijer+thieme+ouwehand&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk&source=www.google.co.uk

Kraaijer's own additions
dearkitty - 08.06.2011 13:32

Kraaijer did add to the Telegraaf anti-Thieme item which you link to, his own anti-Thieme headline, photo plus caption.
strident?
nn - 08.06.2011 13:42

I don't think that quite amounts to 'stridently taking Ouwehand's side' - don't get me wrong, I think Kraaijers actions are dispicable, but I think you may be looking for conspiracies where there are none: why would Kraaijer or the AIVD be interested in destabilising a completely legitimate democratic channel for promoting animal rights?

PvdD opposition
dearkitty - 08.06.2011 14:02

The BVD, and later the AIVD, has a long dirty history of attacking "perfectly legitimate" causes; like striking workers (in the name of anti-communism); the squatters' movement which is a legitimate anti-housing shortage movement; anti-fascism; etc.

The meat industry, including Big Business like Unilever, has an interest in damaging pro-animal movements, no matter how moderate. Mark Rutte, Prime Minister in the minority government coalition, has an Unilever past.

Strident colours
dearkitty - 08.06.2011 14:06

That Kraaijer added all colours of the rainbow adding emphasis to the presumably black and white Telegraaf article (which was strident in itself) apart from his photo, caption, etc., may not be *verbally* strident, but surely is *visually* strident.

Talking about Unilever ...
dearkitty - 08.06.2011 15:48

Unilever just got the "award" for lying in advertising:

Op deze beelden is dus duidelijk te zien hoe Paul Kraaijer de strijd aan gaat met eco-activisten
