Het terrein is bezet, het Food Autonomy Festival is begonnen

Het terrein aan de westrand van Amsterdam is bezet, de actiekeuken staat. Het Food Autonomy Festival is dus begonnen!
Er wordt nog wel gewerkt aan wat extra tenten voor workshops en voor het aangekondigde programma morgen kan beginnen moeten er nog wel een paar dingen opgebouwd worden. Maar er staan al zo’n 30 tentjes, er is een flinke delegatie activisten uit Duitsland gearriveerd en er wordt al gediscussieerd over de te voeren acties. Kom dus zodra je tijd hebt naar dit actiekamp!
Met dit kamp wordt ook de strijd van de Lutkemeerpolder tegen het geplande bedrijventerrein gesteund (http://behoudlutkemeer.nl/). Het kamp is dan ook op dezelfde locatie al het ‘Kampeer in de Lutkemeer’-actiekamp vorig jaar september.
Van vrijdag tot en met zondag zijn er lezingen, workshops en discussies. Daarnaast kun je bijvoorbeeld zelf t-shirts bedrukken en is er een zaden- en stekjesruil. Op de zondag is er een actie gepland. Als je hier meer over wilt weten zul je naar het kamp moeten komen.

Ook de campagne tegen de productie en het gebruik van kunstmest komt meermaals aan bod tijdens het weekend. De kunstmestproductie kost zeer veel aardgas en ook het gebruik zorgt voor veel uitstoot van broeikasgassen. Gedurende het weekend trainingen en andere voorbereidingen plaats voor een grote bezettingsactie in september diverse klimaatacties in de zomer en in september. Last important infos for the Food Autonomy Festival
Where: Lutkemeerpolder in Osdorp (Lutkemeerweg 262, 1067 TH Amsterdam)
How to get there: From central station you can take the Sprinter to Station Lelylaan. There take the Tram 1 (direction Osdorp De Aker) until Amsterdam, Matterhorn. From there it is a 15 minute walk. With the bike it is a beautiful 35 minute ride from Central Station.
Camping: We offer free camping from Thursday (30.05.) evening until Sunday midday (02.06.) at the festival. If you would like to camp, please bring your camping equipment. We have toilets and water stations, but will not have showers.
Accessibility: Unfortunately we were not able to get an accessible toilet on the terrein. However we will try to make some wooden pathways to make the field as accessible as possible, the ground at the camp is very uneven, which could be difficult to move across for some folks. If you have a specific need you can contact us to get more information about how we can try to accommodate it, at info@aseed.net
Fees: The festival is free, however donations in cash would be greatly appreciated. None of the organisers, speakers or people giving workshops are getting paid, everything is being organised on a voluntary basis. However, there are costs associated with infrastructure and therefore we would kindly suggest a donation of 8 euro per day. Also the food, which is provided by "Le Sabot", is based on donations, and the kitchen collective suggests 7 euro per day for coffee, tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Dogs at the festival: We would appreciate if you would not bring your dog, because we have a full kids program which will hopefully attract a lot of kids. If there is no option for you to not bring your dog, please keep it on a leash and clean up after it.
What to bring:
- Please also bring cash, we do not have any opportunity to pay by card.If you like to camp, please bring your camping equipment.
- For people who would like to join the farming workshop on Friday (10 am til 12 pm), please bring a bike, if possible.
- For the yoga classes it would be great if people could bring their own matts.
- If you have some spare seedlings or seeds, please bring them, since we organise a seed swap!
- If you would like to print something cool on a shirt, please bring a clean one, preferably non-synthetic.
