Last Thursday, the Global Economic Strike for Gaza began. Hundreds of thousands heard the call —promoting it on their pages, translating posters, organizing demonstrations, and even committing to close their businesses every Thursday.

This is just the beginning. On Thursday 28th August, we take up Bisan’s call - and we strike again - and this time, we must spread the word even further.

Israel is carrying out genocide in Gaza, while western politicians not only look away but actively arm an apartheid regime wiping out a civilian population. It is time to escalate on a global scale. When governments refuse to listen, we—as a united global collective—must strike where it hurts them most: their economies.

???? WERELDWIJDE STAKING VOOR GAZA - 28 AUGUSTUS

Afgelopen donderdag begon de wereldwijde economische staking voor Gaza. Honderdduizenden gaven gehoor aan de oproep: ze promootten dit op hun pagina's, vertaalden posters, organiseerden demonstraties en beloofden zelfs om elke donderdag hun bedrijven te sluiten.

Dit is nog maar het begin. Op donderdag 28 augustus volgen we de oproep van Bisan op en staken we opnieuw. Deze keer moeten we het nieuws nog verder verspreiden.

Israël pleegt genocide in Gaza, terwijl westerse politici niet alleen wegkijken, maar ook actief een apartheidsregime bewapenen dat de burgerbevolking uitroeit. Het is tijd om op wereldwijde schaal op te schalen. Als regeringen weigeren te luisteren, moeten wij – als verenigd wereldwijd collectief – toeslaan waar het hen het meest pijn doet: hun economieën.
