Hier kun je discussieren over Nationalism and massacres, justified without debate?.
Bizzare sectarian propaganda
The post in question is an opinion piece to be found here :https://www.indymedia.nl/node/56129. It reports on a postering action portraying a faction of the sectarian confl;ict in the levant as 'freedom fighters' and legitimizing an indicriminate raid on a largely civilian group, including killings and abductions, as an act of 'resolute resistance to colonial violence'.'
The posters reported on and the post reporting it lack any kind of reflection and is so bluntly partisan, that it might lust as well be a false flag operation, aimed at justifying the attack of the ';colonizers' millitary machinery on the civiilan population those 'freedom fighter' where tens of thousands gor killed and whole cties destroyed.
Not even the posts own rethoric ('the biggest "price" for liberation is paid in the blood of the people of Gaza.' and 'the innumerable sacrifices they make in becoming martyrs for the sake of liberation') seems to disturb their 'own narrative', as if the 'people of Gaza' had collectively decided to become the cannon fodder for the cause of
a nationalist religious movements vision and the dead bodies under the ruins of their cities.
Stiffed debate by a movement medium
All said in the post and all said here is still opinion as unpallateable it might be to partisans of either cause and by no means would i normally ask indymedia to remove the original post.
Conversely, the fact that the comment&reply option has been disabled is not acceptable, especially bevcause the piece is framed as an opinion, and should allow for debate per definition. It also takes all other indymedia posters and readers hostage to a cause they might not support.
Therefore: reinstate the comment function or remove the post !
Really Indy ....
