5 people arrested on CS (Am*dam)
nn - 18.01.2007 23:46

5 people arrested on CS amsterdam

act 1 : on monday morning at 7 am three people while waiting for a person to get her forgotten passport were sitting with the luggage of that person in the hall of central station. they got asked by security to stand up, as soon as they did some cops arrived and asked for their ID. after questioning the reason for having to show ID this people where put under arrest with a lot of violence by the cops. six more people went to the police statio to ask for more information and to take the luggage that was confiscated at the arrest, but belonged to a person not arrested. because the cops didnt want to give the luggage and plain ticket back, this person missed her overseas flight.

act 2 : the cops kicked the six people out of the station, without any information or luggage. two cop cars outside the central station got scratched with a key. while leaving the area of central station some cops came running towards the group and arrested the suspect of the vandalism. the rest of the group tried to protect the arrested person. while that happened, another person got arrested. with violence the cops made it impossible for the not arrested people to enter central station. two of the three still arrested got brought to the nieuwezijds voorburgwal police station.

act 3 : after a few hours the suspected person of vandalism got released after the cops saw the footage of the surveillance cameras and seeing that they arrested the wrong person. the other two were kept in prison, one person for obstruction of justice, public violence, vandalism, not following police orders and not showing ID . on the second day this person got taken to foreign detention and released only after people brought the ID.

act 4 : the last person after three days in prison had a court hearing and is now charged for showing violence against the police. she is still NN and will be held in prison until the 26th of january when she has her courtcase.

conclusion : one person missed her flight overseas. all togheter five people got arrested. one person is at least for in total 12 days in prison.
why ? for waiting for your train in central station amsterdam. a few years ago you could still sleep on central station, now you cant even wave a friend goodbye.

fight reppression, burn all prisons !
love and rage to our imprisoned friends !

de reppressie neemt toe,
maar militante acties blijven uit .....

Zero tolerance
Bromsnor - 19.01.2007 10:55

What you have seen is the "Zero Tolerance" policy taken to it's full effect. Yep, Rudy Giuliani's New York-approach in a Cloggieland-version.

Basically, the Dutch police don't like backpackers and vagrants loitering in the hall of Amsterdam Central Station, and unlike several years ago, they are noe prepared to go that xtra mile in making sure their Law ia implemented. Pim would have wanted it so, Pim had het zo gewild, in Dutch. You might want to try the Police complaints Commission???

zitactie
floris - 19.01.2007 11:37
