Op 8 november organiseert de Sudanese Refugees Organization (SRO) in Amsterdam een demonstratie onder het motto “Stop de genocide in Soedan”. In 2023 brak er in dat land een oorlog uit tussen twee militaire fracties, de Rapid Support Forces (RSF) en de Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). De bevolking van Soedan is daarvan het slachtoffer, met onnoemelijk veel doden, gewonden, vermisten, vluchtelingen en ontheemden als gevolg. De RSF heeft de vluchtelingenkampen rondom de Al-Fashir in Noord-Darfur aangevallen en vele duizenden mensen vermoord, in die kampen en in de stad zelf.

The event will offer information and a brief presentation on the "Prairieland Defendants" in Texas, USA. The Prairieland Defendants are over a dozen individuals facing years in prison as a result of a case that has become a testing ground for Trump's efforts to deem 'antifa' as a 'terror organization' in the USA. Lives have already been trampled by traumatic repression and pre-emptive punishment for these comrades facing the wrath of the state.
In Nederland verdwijnen honderdduizenden mensen. Niet opeens, in één klap, maar langzaam: dag voor dag, stilletjes uit de samenleving. Jonge mensen, midden in het leven, en een hele toekomst voor zich. Nog erger: kinderen. Ze liggen thuis, soms alleen nog maar in bed, eenzaam, in het donker.
