Hello!
Zondag December 4 is de Lange Niezel 25 ‘gekraakt’. Dit betekent dat de krakers de nieuwe officiele bewoners zijn van het pand. De redenen voor de kraak waren:
— Woningnood in Amsterdam, vooral socialewoningen
— Corrupte woningbouwverenigingen met wachtlijsten van jaren
— Een pand dat al meer dan 8 jaar lang niet gebruikt wordt
— Een straatbeeld dat er zo ook niet beter op wordt door Project 1012
— En natuurlijk, de simpele reden dat er een paar mensen willen wonen.
We kunnen ons voorstellen dat u hiervan schrikt, waarschijnlijk door de slechte reputatie die krakers hebben. We zijn echter absoluut niet van plan een rovershol te maken van het pand; We hebben een select groepje bewoners uitgekozen en we willen ons zoveel mogelijk aanpassen. Dit betekent dat wij elke soorten overlast (geluid, afval, etc.) willen voorkomen en wat nog belangrijker is, we willen het pand weer een toonbaar uiterlijk geven en uiteindelijk de monumentale waarde (laten) herstellen.

We hopen ook aktief te kunnen bijdragen aan de leefbaarheid van de buurt, omdat wij vinden dat krakers op cultureel en sociaal gebied een bepaalde morele verantwoording hebben. De aanwezigheid van krakers is heel nuttig voor deze buurt. Wij kunnen bijdragen aan het beschermen van deze buurt tegen de homogenisering en veryupping van Project 1012. Onze bedoelingen zijn goed. Wij willen u, zodra het pand toonbaar is, uitnodigen voor een kop koffie. Dan kunnen we ook even praten over uw zorgen, adviezen en ideeen.

Hello!
Lange Niezel 25 has been squatted as of Sunday December 4th. This means that the squatters are the new official residents. The reasons for this action are:
- the shortage of housing in Amsterdam, particularly social housing
- corrupt housing corporations with waiting lists years long
- a house that’s been out of use for more than 8 years
- a street that hasn’t actually been improved by Project 1012
- the simple reason that a few people want to live there
We can imagine that you’re worried about this, probably because of the bad reputation squatters have. We have absolutely no plan to make this house into a den of thieves. We’ve chosen a select group of people to live here and we want to fit into the neighborhood as much as possible. This means that we want to avoid creating nuisances such as trash and noise problems. More importantly, we’d like to give the building a presentable appearance and finally, to restore its monumental value.

We also hope to actively contribute to the livability of the neighborhood, because we believe that squatters have a particular moral responsibility in cultural and social areas. The presence of squatters in the neighborhood is very useful. We can contribute to protecting the area from the gentrification of Project 1012. Our intentions are good. We’d like to invite you for a cup of coffee (once the house is presentable), then we can also talk about your concerns, opinions and ideas.

Citaat uit nieuws bericht : — Corrupte woningbouwverenigingen met wachtlijsten van jaren . Bedoel je daar mee ( ook ) dat als je maar genoeg betaald dus via steekpenningen je met voorrang een sociale huurwoning krijgt dus buiten de officiele toewijzing om ? Een onderwerp dat mij bezig houd.
