Dear Ambassador,
I agree so very much with Human Rights Watch: The Polish government should immediately drop charges against Joanna Scheuring Wielgus for participating in a pro-choice demonstration. It is ridiculous to charge her with "offending religious feelings" and "malicious interference with religious worship". Any religious person who has toes that long that their feelings are hurt when someone else wants rights for women, can look the other way.
Joanna Scheuring Wielgus stood up for the right of women to decide for themselves over ending their pregnancy, a recognized human right. Also Amnesty International recognises this as important.
Joanna did this in a peaceful way, carrying a banner that had no offensive text. She needed to do this, because PIS constantly attacks sexual and reproductive rights in Poland. That's why i say to the Ambassador now: "The Polish government must Stop targeting people who demonstrate for the right to abortion. Drop the charges against Joanna Scheuring Wielgus."
