Amsterdam, November 19th Open-House, the Amsterdam based startup accelerator for the Event, Dance & Music industry, announced a successful start of the first Open-House ‘Develop me module’. The past week four startups went through the initial phase of the 60-day business development program. In close cooperation with program partners the first step for boosting business ideas into workable business models where taken.

The 60-day program is lead by Business Models Inc., an Amsterdam based international strategy & design company that helps startups innovate business models and design a strategy for the future, through co-creation and visualization. Patrick van der Pijl, CEO of Business Models Inc., comments: “We are proud to be a partner of the Open-House program and to be able to bring our knowledge into this program with a tailor-made offering. The program is not just a training course, it is hard work and needs to be done in 60 days.”

The Open-House startups in the program are:
ICEK Technology – www.icek.eu - founded by Gerben Krijnen and active in the field of innovative cooling systems with an impact on CO2 emissions footprint, energy savings and cost reductions.
Sanitrax International – www.sanitrax.com - founded by Marcel Bikker and active in the field of sustainable containerized mobile restrooms with an impact of water savings, logistic costs and installation easiness.
School of House – www.schoolofhouse.nl - founded by Jan Maarten Hartong and creating a vocational school for the EDM industry with a focus on future artists, producers, stage managers and so forth
FOOVE – www.foove.nl - founded by – amongst others - Masi Dawoud. Foove is a tech-startup in the field of data driven applications that focus on the potential of big and complex data. The first product is www.festivalkriebels.nl.

Besides business modeling the startups where guided through the landscape of company pitching, financial coaching, crowdfunding, fiscal and legal topics by the Open-House program partners of Wunderbar Ventures, ABN AMRO, SEEDS, Hamelink van den Toren and Dijkstra Voermans Advocaten en Notarissen.

Jan Maarten Hartong – School of House - stated: “Patrick and Roland from Business Models Inc. did a great job tweaking our business model to a required and needed higher level!’. On which Gerben Krijnen – ICEK Technology - continued: “It’s though work, many initial questions are answered but far more have popped up. The 60-day Open-House program gives me just at the right time the change to focus what needs to be done to create a viable business proposition”.

The 60-day Open-House program will take the startups into January 2015 with a final pitch day at ID&T, the founder of Open-House and initial launching customer. “This aspect of the program makes it interesting for me” Marcel Bikker continues, “the combination of creating a viable business proposition with a launching customer at hand is the best thing that could have happened at this moment for my company”. On which Masi Dawond, CEO of FOOVE confirms : “60 days are over before your know it, but the value created by the Open-House program partners is undeniable strong,”
